Welcome to CWF, my name is Daniel Bidwell. The name Children without Faces, came to me in a vision while I was in deep Prayer early on a Monday morning. I was attending a bible school in Los Angeles, California, located at the Dream Center. My vision consisted of 2 small children laying in a hospital bed. Not in some far off country but right here in my own back yard.
The more I became engrossed in the vision, I began to realized that the two small children were brother and sister. I found myself struggling to focus on the children, I was trying to bring their images in more clearly, when it became suddenly obvious that the children had been involved in a fire. Their faces had been burned beyond recognition. By this time I was in tears and asking God to release me from this vision.
When I came out of the vision, I realized I was not standing in the same place where I started praying. As I began to focus back into reality, I found myself standing on top of a hill. I was staring at a fluorescent blue cross that was mounted on top of the dome of Angeles temple, located just a few miles away. I started praying again and a stern voice came from my heart saying that this vision would someday come to pass. Also that I needed to be ready to help those two children.
As I stood there staring at the cross I wondered what I could ever do to help the two children without faces? I told God that he had the wrong person for the job. Ministry was not what I had planed for my future besides there were too many obstacles in my way,
Today Children without Faces, is a growing ministry dedicated to helping those that have been traumatized with physical and mental handicaps due to life altering circumstances. We help raise money for all of God’s children. The need for medical attention for things like skin graphing, prosthetic limbs, and medication is an on going, never ending struggle.
